Placing an order:
All products offered by The Last Course Bakery are baked to order and require a minimum of 2 weeks advance notice. Your order will be added to the production schedule once payment is made, reserving your slot and guaranteeing shipment by your requested date.
Invoicing and payments are handled securely through Paypal. Payment is expected in 1 of
A. Custom cakes — a 50% deposit will be accepted with balance paid in full 14 business days before delivery.
B. Everything else — payment in full is required at the time of order. Sales tax will be applied to all orders place in NC.
An order may be cancelled with a full refund, if requested within 2 business days of placing the order. After the initial cancellation period has expired, no refunds will be given and your order will be baked and shipped as specified.
The Last Course bakery ships to US addresses only. All shipping costs are based on USPS 2-3
day priority shipping rates, which does include up to $50 insurance on the package. All claims
on packages that have been damaged or undelivered will be processed through the US post
office. If you require overnight shipping, or prefer another carrier, just let us know and we will
quote the cost to you.
When choosing a shipping date, please take into account any federal holidays when mail service does not run and high mail volume holidays that can cause delays in shipping. Plan accordingly! I advise clients to choose a shipping date 4 to 5 business days before their event to ensure that the package arrives on time.
A shipping confirmation email will be sent to the address provided on the order form.
All decorated cookie designs and packaging used by The Last Course Bakery are selected with
shipping in mind. We have gotten VERY good at reducing breakage to almost nothing.
However, the nature of shipping is that boxes can be handled roughly, causing some damage.
Refunds will not be given for cracked or broken cookies. If your package was mutilated in the
mail, we will be happy to initiate an insurance claim through the USPS.
Custom cookie and cake designs, as well as shipping addresses, will be confirmed and clearly stated on the invoice. Please review your invoice carefully to make sure all of your details are correct. No refunds will be given if we have provided what was listed on the invoice.
For all custom shipped cookie orders, if you believe you are entitled to a refund, you must return the product to be eligible for a refund.
For local cake and cookie orders, once you accept delivery of your order, no refunds will be given. If you have issue with your order, please speak up BEFORE you take the product and serve it. We will do our very best to make it right.
